Moo the Cow:

In case Moo below says something objectionable, I would like to clarify that I am not the progenitor of the quote, nor do I hand-select what it will say to you, rather I'm using the age-old "fortune" UNIX command, a collection of fortune cookies that date back to the very first days of BSD (back in 1979). 1979 was not as "enlightened" a society by some measures, and that is reflected in a few of the fortune cookies that you may be shown.

Also, it seems like the original quotes were compiled by some rather militant athiests.
